Here’s how the Shopify Website Design and Development Process works:
00 // Discovery Questionnaire
First, you’ll have a questionnaire to fill out. This will help solidify the goals for your website, any backend information we will need, and the general content for each page.
01 // Creative Direction
During a video call, we’ll discuss your website goals and I’ll advise on how I can design the site in order to reach those goals. We’ll also discuss the flow of content for the optimal buyer’s journey, leading your site visitors to checkout.
02 // Website Content
As I start mapping the website flow, you’ll be responsible for finalizing all of the content such as all copy + photos for each page. Having this completed helps the rest of the process go smoothly. If you need guidance on your website copy, I have a workbook that can assist you.
03 // Website Design
With the final content, I’ll design the desktop view of key pages of the website which includes the Homepage and product pages. The designs will be presented in an interactive mock-up that you can scroll + click through, showing some of the site’s functionality. We will have time to make changes before the design is approved for development.
04 // Website Development
Next, I’ll begin developing the site and making sure each page is fully functional and responsive. I'll share the fully developed site with you for final approval after conducting my own round of quality assurance and testing.
05 // Testing & Launch
Before going live, you can make a test purchase to ensure that the site it fully operational.
After the launch, I’ll be available for 30 days of email support if any questions arise. If you need guidance on how to update or maintain aspects of your site, I'll create custom video tutorials for you.
